Amarte ondersteunde de film ‘In het hoofd van de dokter’ van Juul op den Kamp in samenwerking met Yalla Docs met een projectbijdrage.
“Aan de hand van intieme telefoongesprekken met acht verschillende zorgmedewerkers, wiens werk drastisch verandert tijdens de piek op de ic van Covid-19, kruipt de korte documentaire ‘In het hoofd van de dokter’ in de belevingswereld van ‘de dokter’, en legt zo een eeuwenoude cultuur bloot”.
ALBERTINE is het eerste solo-project en tevens de tweede naam van altviolist en componist Yanna Albertine Pelser, die sinds een paar jaar ook haar zangstem heeft ontdekt. Zichzelf begeleidend op de altviool en piano schrijft ze liedjes over wat ze voelt en meemaakt: eind november 2020 wordt haar muziek, begeleid door een band op plaat uitgebracht.

Amarte ondersteunt Sun-Mi Hong en Alistair Payne bij het ontwikkelen van hun debuutalbum!
“Sun-Mi Hong & Alistair Payne forming a duo is almost as predictable as the sun rise. With a long track record playing together in a wide array of projects and as partners who together form the driving force for the Sun-Mi Hong Quintet, this pair are extremely sensitive to each others ideals in life, and in music. Quarantine time has sprouted some new roots for this duo; the drive to keep experimenting and expressing the moment showing that art is not optional. The debut album “IN: 人” being the fruits of their labour.
The music is the less predictable aspect to this. Trumpet & Drums is not the most common line-up, however it’s easy to forget you are listening to either of these instruments. Expect breath and footsteps, a woman wailing and a door squeak. Long textural passages that resemble the sandy scrapes of a carpenter’s work bench. The experience is dream like.”

RUIS – EEN KWANTUMFYSICA-OPERA-LIBRETTO VOL INFORMATIE

RUIS is een vijfdelige multi-disciplinaire opera, waarbij deel 4 een werk van dertig minuten voor de formatie TRIFID (accordeon, vibrafoon en contrabas) en twee zangers zal zijn. Het Amarte Fonds draagt bij aan de compositie van dit werk, dat geschreven wordt door accordeonist en componist Rik Cornelissen.

Leonie Kuhlmann ontving een bijdrage van Amarte voor haar film ‘Dat komt door de maan’.
‘Dat komt door de maan’ is een theatrale dansfilm en gaat over de zoektocht naar fysieke overgave en acceptatie van het moment. Wanneer Ellis de vreemdeling Joud tegenkomt, laat hij haar zien dat je, ondanks alle pijn of angst die je voelt, toch kunt genieten van het leven.

Met de bijdrage van het Amarte Fonds weeft beeldend kunstenaar Juliacks een verhalend tapijt dat in het Huygens Instituut in Amsterdam komt te hangen.
“Doina Daantje Donna is a transmedia and transdisciplinary narrative art project. It is a story told across mediums about a woman, Donna-Daantje-Doina, who personifies the transformations of a historical space in Amsterdam. This space, what is now called the Huygens Institute of Dutch History, was formerly the Spinhuis, one of the first female prisons in the world, Amsterdam Police Headquarters and St. Ursula’s convent. Amarte funds the weaving of the narrative tapestry that Juliacks is making that will hang in the Huygens Institute indefinitely and can be visited by the public. The tapestry dyptych, for Juliacks, is like a giant comic. It’s sequence explores the narrative through character, symbols, abstraction and thread. Here are some of the drawings Juliacks made that were adapted into the design for the tapestry.”

Beeldend kunstenaar Anouk van Zwieten ging de afgelopen maanden op zoek naar nieuwe manifestaties in grote, volledige schilderijen. “Ik zocht kleine elementen en details die ik een eigen ‘podium’ wilde geven. Deze vormen ben ik gaan vergroten en herhalen op doeken van verschillende formaten. Mijn recente werk is het resultaat van het proces waarin ik het ‘detail’ als een op zichzelf staand beeld gebruik.”
